Frequently Asked Questions by Users
What size is best for my kid?

The Junior is often too small for kids older than 6-8. We recommend an adult product in a regular size, such as The Original 2.0, depending on your kid’s head. Check out the size guide for more info.

Can you see my eyes through the lenses?

It depends on the lens and the lighting conditions. Your eyes will be less visible through darker lenses (CAT 3 or 4).

Are there polarized lenses available?

Yes, we have plenty of polarized lenses. Each product page will specify whether or not the lens is polarized. Check out our full polarized collection here.

What is HDPV?

Pit Viper’s high-definition lens tech, fine tuned with proprietary mirror coatings and high-contrast dyes to optimize light filtration. Combined with high grade polycarbonate, it delivers crisp clarity and bold color definition across any terrain.

Pit Viper’s polarized sunglasses cut glare and reduce eye strain by filtering out horizontally polarized light—aka that obnoxious shine off water, snow, glass, or those chrome spinning rims that were popular in 2004.

Together, HDPV polarized lenses provide high-contrast vision with reduced glare. See the difference with High Definition Pit Viper.

Are they polarized?

No, but they are free.
